Warranty
Hard Goods
Built to handle years of adventure, Smittybilt steel products, including bumpers, rock sliders, side steps, armor, and other steel-based accessories, are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty and a 5-Year Finish Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Winches
Smittybilt winches are engineered for dependable recovery performance and backed by industry-leading warranty coverage. X20 GEN3, XRC GEN3, and previous generation X20 winches are covered by a Lifetime Mechanical Warranty and a 5-Year Electrical Warranty. XRC GEN2 and all other Smittybilt winches are backed by a Lifetime Mechanical Warranty and a 3-Year Electrical Warranty.
Soft Goods
Unless otherwise specified, Smittybilt soft goods, including soft tops, seat covers, storage solutions, and other fabric-based products, are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Tents
Smittybilt overlanding tents are built for years of adventure and backed by dedicated warranty coverage. Hard-Shell Popup Tents include a 5-Year Limited Warranty, GEN2 Overlander Rooftop Tents include a 2-Year Limited Warranty, and GEN1 Overlander Rooftop Tents include a 1-Year Limited Warranty.
Other Products
Unless otherwise stated, all Smittybilt products not covered under a specific warranty policy are protected by the Smittybilt Advantage Warranty, providing 1-year of coverage from the original date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship.
Using Your Warranty
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us by phone at 1-888-717-5797 or email us at info@smittybilt.com and provide proof of purchase. Photos of the product may be requested, and in some cases, defective parts must be returned for inspection. Warranty coverage is limited to replacement parts only and does not include labor, installation, or related costs. Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, accidents, or other external causes is not covered. For complete warranty terms and conditions, please refer to your product’s Owner’s Manual or Installation Instructions. All warranty claims are subject to review, and the final determination of warranty eligibility rests solely with Smittybilt Customer Service.
Returns
Return Policy
Smittybilt products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the product price, excluding shipping. Returns requested 31-90 days after purchase may be accepted with a 20% restocking fee.
Returned products must be new, unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition with all original packaging, hardware, instructions, and components. Installed, modified, damaged, discontinued, clearance, closeout, and outlet items are not eligible for return unless determined to be defective. Incomplete or improperly packaged returns may be refused or subject to additional fees.
To request a return, contact Smittybilt Customer Service at 1-888-717-5797 or email orders@smittybilt.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Proof of purchase is required, and the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise authorized.
Refunds or credits are issued only after the item has been physically received at the designated warehouse and inspected. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method, typically within 7–10 business days. Bank processing times may vary.
Products purchased through an authorized Smittybilt dealer must be returned to the original place of purchase and are subject to that dealer’s return policy.
